Global-Duro™ Corrosion Protective Coating

Global-Duro™ (formerly Versacor) is a high build multilayered protective system designed to provide resistance to corrosion particularly in heavy industrial and coastal conditions.

Global-Duro™ pre-painted sheeting is produced under tightly controlled conditions on a continuous coil coating line. Particular attention is paid to surface cleaning, pre-treatment and the application of the high quality coatings used. This results in a durable and decorative building product. Global-Duro is not just a coated product, it is a coating system in which each of its component layers act in unison to provide protection to the metal substrate.

Double Sided Protection

Experience has shown that the most vulnerable areas of any roof sheeting system are the side and end laps. It is in these areas where moisture and condensation combine with salt and dust particles to form small areas of acid residue which quickly attack any exposed metal leading to premature breakdown.

It is clear, therefore, that the double sided protection of Global-Duro™ is essential if a long and maintenance-free life is to be ensured.

1. Metal Substrate. 2. Zinc coating. 3. Pre-treatment - Rigorous alkali degreasing and chromic acid based pre-treatment. 4. Primer - Specially formulated for this application (10 to 20 microns). 5. Global-Duro coat - A 25 to 30 micron thick reinforced coating is applied to both sides of the pre-treated sheet.
